The Ivey library combines mid-century modern design with warm wooden accents, creating a bohemian, 1970s-inspired aesthetic that is both stylish and inviting. Accessibility is moderate, located at Wilcox and Spadina, slightly west of central campus. The library offers a diverse range of study options, including long desks with rolling chairs, comfortable lounge seating, cubicles, and standing desks, accommodating different study preferences. The atmosphere is generally quiet, though conversation is tolerated and no strict quiet zones are enforced. While washrooms are not located within the library itself, the nearby facilities are newly renovated and clean. Unlike some libraries, food is widely permitted, making it convenient for extended study sessions. Temperature is slightly cool but comfortable, and operating hours are excellent, with 24-hour access during exam periods, providing ideal flexibility for both focused work and relaxation. The library’s proximity to nearby food spots further enhances its convenience, offering a balanced environment for productivity and comfort.
