All students applying to LECOM dental school must have completed at least a minimum of 4 academic years of undergraduate study (120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours). They must include the following courses:

LECOM Dentistry Requirements: Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) and Shadowing
DAT and Shadowing Overview:
100 hours of Dental Shadowing are recommended but not required for acceptance to the program. Shadowing is, however, a requirement for consideration.

LECOM Dental School: Letter of References
ECOM requires two (2) core science letters of recommendation submitted to AADSAS. You may submit two (2) core science letters of recommendation from undergraduate or graduate college/university core, science professors.
However, in lieu of the two (2) core science letters, LECOM will accept a pre-professional committee letter to meet the requirement.
AADSAS Personal Essays
This University may take into account the AADSAS personal essay you submit to the ADEA. Your personal statement is a one-page essay (not to exceed 4,500 characters, including spaces, carriages, numbers, letters, etc.) that gives dental schools a clear picture of who you are and, most importantly, why you want to pursue a career in dentistry. LECOM Dental School: Suplemental Application
LECOM requires all applicants to submit a LECOM Supplemental Application. Once LECOM receives the AADSAS application, qualified applicants will receive an e-mail message providing information and instructions regarding how to complete the Supplemental Application.
