Applicants must receive credit for AP classes on their undergraduate transcripts for it to count towards prerequisites.
Community college credit is not recommended for prerequisites but is allowed.
For autumn 2020, Spring 2021, and summer 2021, online courses and Pass/Fail grades for prerequisite coursework will be accepted. Students are encouraged to consider accepting letter grades for science prerequisites.

Ohio State Dental School Requirements: Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) and Shadowing
DAT and Shadowing Overview:
40 dental shadowing hours are required by this university for application, however, 120-130 shadowing hours are recommended.
It is important that applicants diversify their shadowing experiences (typically 120 hours is completed with 5 or 6 practitioners). Dental experience is either paid or unpaid work in a dental field where you observed patient care (i.e., shadowing), interacted with practitioners or had responsibility for patient care.
