UNE’s DMD program typically requires a minimum of 30 hours of in-person dental shadowing. However, an exception will be made to this requirement for the 2021-2022 application cycle due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants who have not completed 30 hours of in-person dental shadowing must instead provide a statement responding to the question “How have you engaged with the dental profession during the pandemic?”, which will be included in the AADSAS application to UNE CDM. A statement demonstrating engagement with the dental profession will be accepted in lieu of the required 30 hours of dental shadowing for the 2021-2022 application cycle.
